LifePlusPsychology are pleased to provide psychology and counselling services to self- or plan- managed clients under the NDIS.
Psychologists can support individuals with a disability by providing support with capacity and building functional ability to increase their independence and fully participate in community and work life.
To access psychology support, individuals must provide evidence of a mental health condition. A specific mental health diagnosis is preferred but not essential, nor does it have to be named.
NDIS support is based on the impairment, or the impact of the mental heath condition, rather than the diagnosis itself. As such, individuals must be able to demonstrate that their mental health condition has caused difficulties in everyday life, that they will likely always require NDIS support and that the difficulties have substantially reduced their ability to do everyday activities.
To find out more about eligibility requirements or how the NDIS can support mental health, please refer to the NDIS website.
With experience working in disability sector, pain management and chronic health, Marion understands the needs and challenges that those with a disability experience. She is able to work with you to create a plan to help address the specific barriers.
Some individuals may be accessing more than one type of support under the NDIS. Marion prioritises taking a collaborative approach to care and, with your consent, engages with the relevant providers to ensure a holistic approach to help you achieve your goals.
Psychology services provided by LifePlusPsychology are considered Capacity Building supports. The cost of the appointments are fully covered NDIS funding.
LifePlusPsychology charges the recommended fee set by the NDIS.
